Looking back to the beginning

As our Breath of Fresh Air adventure comes to a close, we've been reflecting on what we've achieved, what we've found challenging, and what we know now that we didn't know then.

We started the project, quite literally, with a stretch of bright blue sky:

Last Wednesday Judy and Bianca visited Belton Park for the first time for a Breath of Fresh Air, joining Claire and Chris for a tour of the grounds in a National Trust range rover. Chris, who has been at Belton for nearly twenty years, waxed lyrical about the park for almost two hours without taking a breather! The park is vast and full of interesting features, like Brownlow’s trousers (pictured), a ha-ha and calfing wild fallow deer – whose young are up and running within a few hours of being born.

So, our Belton adventure is well and truly underway, and we’ve got lots of time to explore our new playground as we create an interactive story for visiting family groups.

Unearthing Towthorpe has been created under the guidance of resident experts at Belton Lane School using the enviable talents of Judy Upton, Adam McCready, Lori Amor, Peter Dudbridge,  Kate Chapman and Bianca Winter and the dulcet tones of Ollie Smith, Robin Bowerman, Rebecca D'Souza, Tim Evans and Tim Smith.
