The Bells will be ringing in Loughborough as Cargoes is LAUNCHED

We are all very excited as our Cultural Olympiad project Cargoes is being launched tomorrow in Loughborough.

The project launch will commence with the ringing of the Loughborough Carillon to the recently re-discovered piece composed by Elgar, 'Memory Chimes' commissioned for the opening of the Carillon and War memorial.

Following this the first artistic offering being placed by Kathrine Sandys on the narrow boats ready to be transported to the next artist along the line. Kathrine will next see the narrow boats and whats on them when they return back to Loughborough in late June and the work will then be exhibited on 3rd July to co-incide with the Torch Relay.

Look out tomorrow for more blogs, pictures and maybe even a video snippet of what happened.

More coming very very soon....
