Join Alison Lloyd, of Contemporary Art of Walking, your creative guide, on an art walk exploring the landscapes around the Erewash Canal. A fun and stimulating walk of art, landscape and conversation, making connections between our surroundings and contemporary art . This walk is commissioned by Cargoes, an Ignite! project that is using two narrow boats to collect Cultural Cargo throughout the East Midlands as part of the Cultural Olympiad, creating artwork inspired by distinctiveness of the locality. Join us on a walk with a difference that is not to be missed!
Wear clothes and shoes appropriate for variable conditions as the walk
will take place whatever the weather. Bring a snack and a drink, particularly if it is sunny and a small rucksack to carry them in.
