After visiting Derbyshire Wildlife Trust's Millers Dale reserve with Alison Lloyd, 95 children at two primary schools in the white peak area worked with me to make shadow puppets. They made butterflies, flowers, birds and fish that they had seen as well as features of the disused lime kiln and quarry. They also made limestone fossils and tools to use in the lime kiln and quarry that they had visited.
We then worked on devising, rehearsing and finally performing and filming their shadow shows.
